The remote and desolate ice world of Neptune was never particularly appealing as a target for colonization, but now maintains a relatively small population as part of the [[outer rim|Saturnian territorial umbrella]]. Most of the economy of the region is fueled by academic tourism, as the listening arrays over Neptune were the first facilities to decipher and display [[psionics|the Signal]] and correspondingly the planet boasts some of the finest psi research centers known to man.
