===== Description =====
There are many memorials to the victims of human exploitation and expansion. Pluto and its sister-planet Charon are one of the stark reminders of the cost of greed, having been reduced to ruins by corporate mining interests unable to find water and hydrogen in the [[Kuiper belt]] or unwilling to venture far from a settled area. It was largely abandoned late in the expansion drive after the Kuiper belt was established, and now all that remains of Pluto are abandoned mining stations and a cloud of debris. The remains are home to a few drifters and hermits who occupy the officially non-existent ruins, haphazardly holding the ancient facilities together.
