Peaceful, productive and democratic in a legitimately fair manner (aided by advanced computer systems), but choked by bureaucracy and low on individual liberty and privacy. Surveillance from the government is common and expected, personal income is heavily taxed, and corporations are heavily restricted in what they can and cannot do within the bounds of a planetary territory. The general quality of life is high for baseline and embodied humans but artificial intelligences, uplifts and the recognisably transhuman are mistrusted and regarded as destabilising and dangerous.
