The CFT is a loose coalition of Jovian fleet captains, shipyards, cargo suppliers and shipping companies that banded together in the early days of Jupiter's settlement to negotiate with the CSA on more even footing. They are fiercely independent, often to the point of stubbornly cutting themselves out of lucrative government subsidies, but have a reputation for fairness in their business dealings. Generally they are considered to show only a reasonable degree of money-hunger, especially by comparison to their main competitors.
