There are many memorials to the victims of human exploitation and expansion. Pluto and its sister-planet Charon are one of the stark reminders of the cost of greed, having been reduced to ruins by corporate mining interests unable to find water and hydrogen in the Kuiper belt or unwilling to venture far from a settled area. It was largely abandoned late in the expansion drive after the Kuiper belt was established, and now all that remains of Pluto are abandoned mining stations and a cloud of debris. The remains are home to a few drifters and hermits who occupy the officially non-existent ruins, haphazardly holding the ancient facilities together.
The sister-planet of Pluto. The ruins of the dwarf planet are honeycombed with illegal habitations.
